Definition: The number and percentage of the target group of children age 0-5 years who are enrolled in the Columbia Public School District’s Parents as Teachers Program. The local district percentage can be compared with other districts in Boone County, statewide and nationally.
Rationale: Parents as Teachers participation is a predictor of school readiness and later school success. This indicator meets all criteria.

Definition: The percentage of the target group of children age 0-5 years who are enrolled in the Columbia Public School District’s Parents as Teachers Program and who also qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Rationale: Parents as Teachers participation is a predictor of school readiness and later school success.
